Fairytales about… opera!

Cristina Bersanelli was born in Parma in 1972.
She is a pianist and stage director and has enjoyed a busy career in opera coaching for over 20 years. In 2017, she won the Abbiati-Siebaneck Prize, awarded by Italian music critics. In the same year, she received the Luigi Illica International Award for “cultural innovation” as a result of her enriching workshops and adapted operatic children performances. 

Bersanelli is the Artistic Director of the historic, Circolo Parma Lirica, for which she established the E lucevan le stelle competition for young musicians, and Verdi Rap, which blends opera culture with the world of hip-hop. In the dual role of author and presenter, she collaborated with Sky Classica channel. On what project exactly?? Along with Gabriele Clima, she is the author of the very successful series, Su il sipario (Edizioni Curci – Curci Young) and of numerous theatrical performances linked to her books.
